Seth Hamblin has held leadership roles at two of the nation's largest news organizations for more than a dozen years. At The Wall Street Journal, Seth leads a team of 25 visual journalists, who explain the news with a combination of words, charts, diagrams, maps and photographs and interactives. The team produces work for print and online. He also participates in the major news meetings where story decisions are made. At The Washington Post, Seth served as an editor of various stripes on the national desk. He also contributed stories to several sections of the newspaper. He edited stories or directed the information graphics efforts during three presidential elections, the Iraq War, Hurricane Katrina, the Sept. 11 attacks, the crash of the shuttle Columbia and three Pulitzer Prize-winning series. During his tenure and the Journal and the Post, Seth has taken on jobs the require a range of talents, including management, writing, editing, graphics, interactive news, photography and layout. In his leisure time, Seth dances salsa and swing, blogs and chases light with his camera. Below is a slide show of some of his photographs.
